VOIP and the Benefits
Voice Over Internet Protocol (VOIP) is essentially phone service over the internet. Intended as a replacement for traditional POTS systems, the service is delivered through your internet connection, and is ideal for businesses.
We offer two different types of VOIP telephony;
Hosted VOIP - Based in the Cloud, Hosted is perfect for SMEs looking for fixed cost business telephony with improved functionality and lower call cost. With no additional maintenance charges, each user has their own line and calls are routed via your internet.
SIP Trunks - Physical on-premise telephone system means it's more similar to traditional systems; but routes your call via SIP trunks not ISDN. Ideal for larger businesses as it is more cost effective for a large user base.
The Benefits of VOIP Telecoms and Communication
Multi-functional - Aside from replacing the classic phone system, VOIP allows you to conduct video-conferencing. This allows you to get involved with Webinars and attend e-meetings - taking your business operation into the future. VOIP gives you the capacity to attend important meetings even when you cannot be physically present.
Portability - One of the biggest revolutionary benefits with VOIP is that you can access it from anywhere with an internet connection. It's highly convenient as your phone number is not physically assigned to a single handset - you have the freedom to move and travel without being limiting to one location for a handset.
High Call Quality - A common misconception about VOIP is that the call quality is inconsistent and often suffers in quality compared to a POTS set-up. In most cases, you cannot tell the difference between a VOIP call and a POTS call, and it is vastly superior to cell phone reception. Call quality may struggle if you have very poor Broadband, but we can help with that too.
Future-proof - VOIP is essentially a future-proof system; as it will evolve alongside new technology. In 2025, BT Group is switching off ISDN services, and will not accept any new orders as of 2020. This phasing out of dated technology means upgrading to VOIP sets you ahead of the curve.
More cost effective - The nature and design of VOIP telephony means there is lower cost per call; saving you money without a loss on functionality.
